The 82nd Pitti Immagine Bimbo childrenswear exhibition will take place in Florence on 21, 22 and 23 January 2016. Original Marines will be there with a series of exclusive events dedicated to the value of originality.
Style, music and artistic talent will be the core concepts in the programme, which will feature Shari Noioso as a special guest. The young musical sensation – who shot to fame on Italian television on the “Tú sí que vales” talent show – will perform live at the Original Marines stand at 12.30 pm on 21 January.
There are references to the world of music in the new Fall/Winter 2016-2017 collection, which will be presented during the event. The musical backdrop for the collection will portray the key values of the Original Marines world: freedom, dynamism, originality and colour, which will also be conveyed in the exhibition area by wall-mounted installations, bright colours and the new clothes, which will be the real stars of the show.
Basic, Back to School, Utility Chic, Utility 2.0, Urban Tribe, Swinging London, Nasty Sid and Harlem Shake are just some of the themes of the Fall/Winter 2016-2017 collection for all youngsters, from babies to teenagers. A playful spirit and international urban trends are plain to see in the lifestyle proposed for next season, which embodies an understated, subtle kind of elegance that is tasteful and never ostentatious.
The light-hearted, ironic side of the brand will also be evident outside the stand, where young and old visitors alike can enjoy playing a giant piano with their feet.
In addition, this year Original Marines has decided to play host to a special exhibition entitled “PHO-TO AFRICA”. It will feature a selection of 15 previously unseen photos by the internationally renowned photographer Sven Jacobsen, who was also behind the brand’s Fall/Winter 2015-2016 campaign. The new pictures were taken during the shoot for the Spring 2016 catalogue in Cape Town, South Africa. They capture the essence of the experience and will play a key part in a charity initiative: during Pitti Bimbo, it will be possible to take home one of seven exclusive works by the photographer or a poster-size print if you make a donation to the AMKA non-profit association, which does charity work to support African children and their educations.
Domenico Romano, the Original Marines marketing director, stated: “We have chosen to take part in Pitti Immagine Bimbo once again because we believe that it provides us with a unique opportunity to promote our values. Our goal is to continue to boost our brand awareness and Pitti Bimbo is an important showcase that can help to put the spotlight on our collection and the philosophy behind the world of Original Marines, which has always been known for its exceptional originality and quality. Just as Shari’s music has something to say to everyone, Original Marines satisfies every need, every day and on every occasion.”
We look forward to seeing you at stand 2 on the ground floor of the Costruzioni Lorenesi area at Pitti Immagine Bimbo 82 in Florence.
